 Northern Breezes offers several ways to share the fun of cruising with fellow sailors on Lake Superior, Lake Michigan, Florida, the Bahamas, St. Martin Destination Adventures....
Are you new to sailing, short of a full crew, lack some
confidence in managing a bigger boat in new waters,
or just want someone else to run the boat? If so, join the crew on one of
lead boats led by a seasoned, senior instructor who
is also a U.S. Coast Guard-licensed Captain.
These adventures include a mix of organized and informal activities including fun days of sailing prefaced by skipper briefings each morning, site seeing, and dining aboard or
ashore. Explore the wilderness beauty of Lake Superior’s pristine
south shore beaches as we visit Cornucopia. Schedule
a short kayak trip to the nationally recognized
caves before sailing across the lake to the rugged
"north shore" with it's own unique communities and remote harbors.
Turn around and sail back across Lake Superior and
through the renowned Apostle Islands with eight
unique Lighthouses and absolutely unspoiled,
wilderness beauty. Dinghy ashore to great hiking
trails from anchorages which will likely make your
memory book. Continue on through the Apostle Islands
to Black River Falls and Saxon Harbor on the south
shore.

Are you an Advanced Coastal Cruising graduate
looking for more adventure? An experienced bareboat skipper? Then
charter a boat through Northern Breezes, it costs
you nothing, and join the flotilla as a skipper who
will soon know a lot more sailing friends. We will
assist you in obtaining the
yacht of your choosing. You will have your own charter boat with
your own crew and be one of a number of boats
accompanied by a lead boat with a professional
captain and host from Northern Breezes. Focus on captaining
your own boat, and let the lead boat act as your event
organizer, guide and support team.
Wait, I own my own boat and I would
like to participate. Yes you can by signing up and
paying Northern Breezes $200. This covers our cost
for gatherings, burgees, etc. Pre-registration is
required so Northern Breezes can plan properly.

Visit historic lighthouses while enjoying pristine anchorages, great hikes in the national seashore (park) which is the Apostle Islands. Visit quaint New England style villages, with some of the finest, fresh seafood around. Enjoy the comradery of fellow sailors as we cross "Gitche Gumee" better known as Lake Superior and share sea stories, hors d'oeuvres, beverages. Create memories you'll want to share and repeat!

Florida Delivery Adventures
(6.5 Days)

Alabama to Fort Myers, Florida:
This Catamaran
Delivery Adventure starts in Mobile, Alabama from Dog River
Marina just south of Mobile and ends at Burnt Store Marina, just
north of Fort Myers, Florida. The dates are December 3 – 10,
2016.
Customers board "Sun Spirit", an Island Spirit
400 catamaran on December 3rd at Dog River Marina, Mobile,
Alabama. Sail to Burnt Store Marina (north of Fort Myers,
Florida). This delivery will begin the next day or as soon as
weather conditions permit. Overnight passages will be sailed
across the northeast section of the Gulf of Mexico and take
three to four days. The delivery will end at Burnt Store Marina,
Ft. Myers, Florida. Crew departs on December 10th at the
latest.
All meals and snacks aboard are provided. All
meals ashore are the guest’s responsibility. Participants should
bring PFD with harness and tether if possible.
Cost: $960
single/shared cabin. $1,760 single/whole cabin.
Couples' price: $1,760.
ASA 106 certification is available to qualified participants for
an additional $200.

2: Fort Myers, Florida to Miami, Florida:
This Catamaran Delivery Adventure
starts at Burnt Store Marina, Fort Myers, Florida and ends at
the Miami Yacht Club, Miami, Florida. The dates are: December 10
- 17, 2016.
Customers board "Sun Spirit", an Island Spirit
400 catamaran on December 10th at Burnt Store Marina (north of
Fort Myers, Florida). This delivery will begin the next day or
as soon as weather conditions permit. Some night sailing may be
required. The basic route is from Burnt Store Marina through
seven-mile bridge south of Marathon Key and on to Miami.
Overnight passages could be a possibility depending on weather.
The delivery will end at the Miami Yacht Club, Miami, Florida.
Crew departs on December 17th at the latest.
All meals and snacks aboard are provided. All
meals ashore are the guest’s responsibility. Participants should
bring PFD with harness and tether if possible.
Cost: $960 single/shared
cabin. $1,760 single/whole cabin.
Couples' price: $1,760.
ASA 106 certification, Advanced Coastal Cruising and ASA 114,
Cruising Multihull certification are available
to qualified participants
for an additional $200 each.

Lake Superior Delivery
Adventures
These exciting three-day adventures occur twice each season
between Duluth, Minnesota and Bayfield, Wisconsin. Sail through
the beautiful Apostle Islands National Lakeshore. Weather
permitting, we will anchor out one night in the islands. Visit
the charming village of Cornucopia, Wisconsin. Dine ashore and
spend the night at Siskiwit Bay Marina. Cruise the Twin Ports of
Duluth and Superior. Sail past the lake freighters and ore docks
in this impressive commercial harbor.
Pre-board the boat the night before at either Pikes Bay Marina
in Bayfield or Spirit Lake Marina in Duluth. In the spring, leave your vehicle
at the starting location in Duluth; we will shuttle sailors back to the
starting location in Duluth after completion of the trip. In the fall, leave your
vehicle at the starting location in Bayfield; we will shuttle sailors back
to the starting location in Bayfield after completion of the trip.
Boats: Our skippered boats include two 34
foot monohulls: Taboo or Jolly Swagman,
our Hunter 34 live-aboard yachts, our Hunter 40.5 Memories Maid,
and our Catamaran: Athena 38 Calico.
Location: Lake Superior, between Duluth,
Minnesota (Spirit Lake) and Bayfield, Wisconsin.
Prerequisites: None
Food: Meals aboard are done using the "kitty" method; meals ashore are the
responsibility of the participants.
Cost: $349 per person on Hunter 34 or $399 per person on
Hunter 40.5 or $449 per person on Catamaran Athena 38; includes $200 Early/Late season
discount, and, transportation between Duluth and
Bayfield.

Duluth Triangle Destination Adventures
This three-day adventure occurs
between Duluth, Minnesota and Knife River, Minnesota.
Pre-board the boat the night before at Barkers Island Marina in
Duluth.
Location: Lake Superior, between Duluth,
Minnesota and Knife River, Minnesota.
Prerequisites: None
Food: Meals aboard are provided; meals ashore are the
responsibility of the participants.
Cost: $349 per person; includes $200 Early/Late season
discount and meals onboard.

Lake Michigan, Milwaukee Destination Adventures
Skippered Adventure between Milwaukee and Ludington, Michigan
Join the Northern Breezes Destination Adventure between Ludington, Michigan and Milwaukee—a one-day adventure between the Ludington Municipal Marina and Milwaukee.
Boat: Freedom, our Hunter Legend 37.5 based out of Ludington.
Location: We will meet in Ludington having dinner ashore before starting off early
in the morning for a full day of sailing, arriving in Milwaukee later that evening.
Prerequisites: Basic Coastal Cruising certification
Food: Meals aboard are included; meals ashore are the responsibility of the participant...
Cost: $349 per person, including meals aboard.

Silver Bay Destination Adventures
Hop on board the Northern Breezes Destination Adventure starting and ending in Bayfield,
WI. This three-day adventure begins in Bayfield then sails to the beautiful Silver Bay where sailors will participate in a race. Afterwards, they will make their way to
Cornucopia and end up back in Bayfield by the last
day.

Apostle Islands Destination Adventures
Join our Destination Adventure sailboat as we explore the pristine
Apostle Islands National Lakeshore. The Apostle Islands includes
22 islands and 12 miles of mainland shoreline. These beautiful,
uninhabited islands offer deep, clear water, excellent
anchorages. expansive sand beaches, shipwrecks, sea caves,
rugged shorelines and the largest collection of historic
lighthouses in the USA.. Several of the islands have docks
constructed by the National Park Service, which are available
for day or overnight use. Sailing among the sheltered islands is
a pleasure, yet can also offer challenges as the wind twists
through the maze of islands. Weather and time permitting, other
possible destinations include Cornucopia, Wisconsin, Silver Bay,
Minnesota and Black River Harbor, Michigan. Lake Superior is
known as the “Caribbean of the North” and this region offers
some of the world's best sailing for novice to expert sailors.
Boats: Our skippered boats include three 34-36 foot
monohulls and a 38' cruising catamaran. Those owning their own
boats or chartering a boat may join the Destination Adventures for a fee.
Location: Apostle Islands, Lake Superior.
Destination Adventures start at Pikes Bay and Port Superior Marinas on Pikes
Bay, just south of Bayfield, Wisconsin.
Prerequisites: Bareboat Charter Certification if
skippering a chartered boat.
Food: Provided on Northern Breezes boats with Captains
aboard. Meals aboard are included; meals ashore are the
responsibility of the participant. Food may be arranged for
bareboat yachts.
Cost: $549 / person on Captained yachts
$1,049 / couple on Captained yachts
