Captain Tony GreenTony Green

Captain Tony Green has been boating since 1985, including eight years as a U.S. Navy nuclear submarine officer. He is a Coast Guard licensed Master with Near Coastal, Great Lakes, Sailing and Assistance Towing Endorsements. Tony teaches on local waters, Lake Superior and in the Caribbean and holds American Sailing Association Instructor ratings in ten courses, including Advanced Coastal Cruising, Cruising Catamaran, Bareboat Chartering, Basic Coastal Cruising, Docking, Basic Keelboat, Basic Small Boat, Coastal Navigation, Basic Celestial Navigation and Marine Weather. He has logged more than 12,000 offshore sailing miles in the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, Caribbean Sea and Gulf of Mexico and has crossed Lake Superior numerous times. He is a regular seminar speaker at the Minneapolis Boat Show and his print articles have appeared in Cruising World, SAIL, Small Craft Advisor and Northern Breezes Sailing magazines and the Journal of the American Sailing Association.
