Paul Maravelas

A sailor for 35 years, Paul grew up on Lake Minnetonka, where he crewed on J-24s and Etchells at the Wayzata Yacht Club. He crewed for Phil Cole in the 1978 Etchell Nationals on Lake St. Clair, Michigan. He enjoys chartering boats on Lakes Vermillion and Superior, and owns a 22 foot pocket cruiser which he moors on Lake Minnetonka, often sailing at night. He has formal training in coastal navigation, celestial navigation, and radar, and participated in Northern Breezes 2008 Advanced Coastal Cruising course in the Virgin Islands. He has taught Basic Keelboat classes for Northern Breezes since 2007 and directed the Northern Breezes Youth Summer Sailing Camp on Medicine Lake in 2009.
