2012 St. Petersburg Power & Sailboat Show® Announces Debut of Sailboat Builders and Designers Pavilion

Custom Builders Receive Dedicated Exhibition Space

St. Petersburg, Fla. - (July 2, 2012) - Organizers of the 35th annual St. Petersburg Power & Sailboat Show® have announced the debut of a Sailboat Builders and Designers Pavilion as a new attraction at the 2012 show, scheduled to take place from November 29 to December 2, 2012 at the Progress Energy Center for the Arts Mahaffey Theater Yacht Basin and Albert Whitted Park. The new pavilion offers builders and designers of custom sailboats a unique setting to display their custom creations, even if they do not have a boat available to display at the show.

Located at the northeast corner of the in-water sailboat display, the new Pavilion provides an ideal indoor venue for exhibitors to showcase their sailboat design options and concepts, and is expected to be of particular interest to builders who do not have dealers in the St. Petersburg area or do not currently have a particular boat to display.

"We are focused on making the St. Petersburg Power and Sailboat Show the most exciting show for sailors and power boaters on Florida's West Coast," said Dane Graziano, senior vice president and chief operating officer of Show Management, the company that produces the show. "The new Sailboat Builders and Designer Pavilion is an example of how we continually look for new ways to create a great experience for exhibitors and attendees."

The St. Petersburg Power & Sailboat Show offers four days of fun for boaters of all ages. In addition to the impressive display of powerboats, sailboats, marine electronics and products, there is an extensive schedule of educational marine seminars and youth fishing clinics presented by the non-profit Hook The Future. At the Author's Corner, attendees can enjoy a selection of marine-related books and opportunities to meet the authors face-to-face. With refreshments and live musical entertainment along the expansive waterfront area, the show is a vibrant experience of everything marine.

Plenty of onsite parking is available at the municipal parking garages surrounding the show grounds. Show-goers also can choose to ride the Downtown Looper Trolley, which offers convenient stops on First Street along the Mahaffey Theater.
