Gov. Dayton proclaims Aug. 31 Public Lands Day in Minnesota

WHAT:

In recognition of public lands as a resource belonging to all Minnesotans, Gov. Mark Dayton has proclaimed Friday, Aug. 31, Public Lands Day.

Media are invited to a State Fair event where Department of Natural Resources’ partners and DNR Commissioner Tom Landwehr will touch on the benefits of public lands and the Labor Day opportunity to get out and enjoy them.

The winners of the DNR social media public lands photo contest will be announced and the photos will be displayed.
