SL 33 one design catamaran - the worlwide first serial built foiling cat in this size

After three years of development and winning many race trophies, we are proud to introduce the next step in the SL 33 evolution.

The SL 33 one design, the first foiling serial built cat in this size.

The two AC teams ETNZ and Luna Rossa have developed the foils for the AC 72 with their SL 33 training boats. In autumn 2013 we could overtake this technology which has given us a huge step in evolution.

SL 33 One Design Catamaran

Since six month three private foiling SL 33 are sailing in Auckland.

Together with Dave Ridley, chief executive at Hall Spars NZ and Mike Sanderson, 2-times Volvo Ocean Race winner, 3-times AC veteran and sailor of the year 2006, both owner of a SL 33 cat, we have developed the SL 33 one design.

It will be a very strict one design class, to make the costs 100 % calculable and to guarantee equal performance of boats.

We are convinced, that we could set up a race circuit with this future-orientated design soon. The technology of the SL 33 one design is corresponding with the new AC catamarans and we are sure, that many sailors will have great interest in sailing the SL 33 one design,” Andreas Labek co-designer of the SL 33 one design.
