2001 Spring Muskegon Yacht Club J 24 Regatta

Day one of the 2001 J24 Great Lakes Spring Regatta got underway with great sailing conditions all around.
Race one began with easterly winds 5-15 knots and sunshine. Partway into the second leg, the wind lost velocity and disappeared. Only to reappear a short time later - out of the west. Three horn blasts let the racers know that the race was cancelled and it was time to reset to course and try again.

The remainder of the day was pretty consistent with breeze from the west, 5-15, with the wind picking up to 10-20 by the start of the last race. Three races were held.
