Talbot Regatta
Chicago, IL
October 2-3, 2004

The Talbot Regatta is a tribute to the late Chicago Yacht Club Sailing School instructor Jimmy Talbot. The regatta was founded as a Laser regatta in 1993, and in 1997 the Vanguard 15s joined in on the competition. This year, organizers are putting a special emphasis on Junior Sailing and will include Junior Sailors in the Laser and Laser Radial class, as well as 420s. There will also be an open class for Skiffs, (International 14s, Vectors, 29ers, etc.) Chicago's October weather always makes for interesting sailing, and certainly more so with the newest addition to the event.
