HAWAII RESTAURANT, MAC 24 / 7 TO SPONSOR INAUGURAL TRANSPACIFIC RACE FOR MAC-DADDY SKIPPER AJ GOLDMAN OF THE SECOND VERSE
* Goldman to Participate in 2010 Singlehanded TransPacific Yacht Race *
HONOLULU (June 7, 2010) – MAC 24 / 7 today announced it will sponsor AJ Goldman in his inaugural solo journey across 2,120 miles of the Pacific Ocean as part of the 2010 Singlehanded TransPacific Yacht Race, set to launch on June 19, 2010. As part of the year-long sponsorship, Goldman’s 36-foot sailboat, Second Verse, will be branded with the MAC 24 / 7 logo, and Goldman will participate in signature events and local promotions at the restaurant.
MAC 24 / 7 will track Goldman’s progress across the Pacific with Google Maps, posting information such as speed, course, and weather conditions, to MAC 24/7’s SSS MAC-Daddy website, and inviting public interaction via Facebook and Twitter. In addition, the restaurant will prepare and freeze signature meals for Goldman to enjoy during his crossing, including White Cheddar Mac and Cheese with Green Peas, Chili with Beans and Rice, and Beef Tips with Mushroom Sauce and Potatoes.

In honor of Goldman’s first solo sail to Hawaii and the launch of the 2010 SSS TransPac and, MAC 24 / 7 will conduct a Hawaiian blessing on June 18, 2010 at the Corinthian Yacht Club in Tiburon, California as part of the annual Skipper’s Meeting & Luncheon.
