New model sail boats for a new season

(Hamburg, June 28th, 2011) The Hamburg based company `stockmaritime´, well-known builder of remote controlled model boats is expanding its program. They are now offering almost all available types of boats, including the only original TP52 model of the "Quantum" Team, the leading TP52 crew.

What´s so special about it?! In particular each boat can have an individual design and can be ordered starting from one unit already. Over and above the already known types of AC60 and VO70, Stockmaritime as of now offers a wide range of all types of remote controlled models. This includes not only boats of German boat builders Robbe and Graupner but also boats from Thunder Tiger or T2M. Among the classic types like AC60 (Kyosho/stockmaritime) or Micro Magic (Graupner) the range will be completed by models that are less known but nonetheless interesting.

Regarding the Americas Cup models there is now the choice of four types differing in sizes between 61cm to 110cm hull-length. Depending on the type of boat, there are different licensed designs of the original AC-Teams available. ETNZ, Team-China, BMW-Oracle or Shosholoza are the most colourful favorites among them. Even by ordering only one piece off you can already choose your individual design on hull and sails to create your personal team boat!

But stockmaritime is far more than that. They are also producing their own custom-made model boats in Hamburg.

During the past four years the guys from the carbon work-shop which are all proud sailors themselves developed six different new types. Most of these boats were made for well known companies. As Alex Thompsons Open60 sponsored by Hugo Boss was built with a length of 74cm, AC Team UITG and Shosholoza got their AC110 and the Audi Platoon Team received their TP52 with 65cm length. Working together with the Volvo Ocean Race they manufactured even a 107cm VO70 with stunning canting keel technology!

Although the guys from stockmaritime are passionate ASSO99 sailors, they even managed to produce a Superyacht RC-model called BV110 for the famous shipyard Blohm&Voss from Hamburg. But daily work is not just about developing, building and sailing but is also setting big value on customers’ service.

The (internal) Race-team is preparing not only their AC60 Models but also the “real” ASSO99 which is a 10meter Racer from Italy for the coming season. This is how they want to give a good scare to the other participants of the Wednesday regattas on the river Elbe and they are looking forward to the Competition.
